Hey everyone... I just thought I would point this out. If you're like me and like to package everything in 7zip, but have a favorite archiver other than 7zip (please... no flames, I prefer IzArc, seems to have more supported formats ) You can just yank the 7zsfx headers from the 7zip install directory, then you never have to install it again. I've packeged here the headers for both silent and regular SFX, as well as a few helpful batch files. To make a regular sfx: 1. copy 7z.sfx to the program directory. 2. ResHack the .sfx for icons (optional). 3. Pack up all the install files in a .7z using your favorite archiver. 4. Drop the new .7z file on mk7zsfx.bat. If the .7z and .sfx are in the same directory, the batch will automatically create the .exe with the same name as whatever you named your .7z. To make a SILENT sfx: 1. copy 7zS.sfx and commands.txt to the program directory. 2. ResHack the .sfx for icons (optional). 3. edit commands.txt to suit your particular install. 3. Pack up all the install files in a .7z using your favorite archiver. 4. Drop the new .7z file on mk7zSsfx.bat. If the .7z, commands.txt, and .sfx are in the same directory, the batch will automatically create the .exe with the same name as whatever you named your .7z.
