  1. The Sophos anti root kit doesn't pick up anything bad. I scanned Hitman and Emisoft both in safemode network and it deleted cookies and trojans but however I am still getting the random popup in my tabs, and most importantly, whenever I click a link in google search engine, it redirects me to an advertised site, Also, this might help but when I scanned with Hitman, it said I have a TDL3 (Alureon) rootkit.. but how can I remove that.
  2. Rootkit buster does not support 64bit systems. Is there another program?
  3. Thanks. I'll give that a try. It's so **** annoying because everytime I open a new tab from google search engine, I get redirected to advertisement websites!! ARgh!!!
  4. I have Malwarebytes, SUPERAntiSpyware, Spybot Search and Destroy, SpywareBlaster installed, updated, and scanned and immunized and the whole nine yards but the problem keeps happening. Everytime I scan, it picks up the Adware Tracking Cookie, deletes but they keep coming back. I did a full uninstall and new install of Mozilla Firefox, but it is still happening. Please tell me whats the next step to do, thank you.

  6. It also always says "Please wait while windows configure..." at the beginning whenever I load it up.
  7. I went through all of that and the problem still persists.
  8. I use Vista Ultimate 64bit and everytime I load up Outlook 2003, this annoying error pops up "C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns\outlvba.dll" is not a valid Office Add-in. I just recently installed Outlook 2003 and everytime I load it, it will begin to install something and the error pops up and more installing... Help!
  9. No, windows default defender. This is what it shows... It shows time remaining and it reverts back and cancels install..
  10. Hi I have Vista 64 bit and I am trying to install the latest version of WMDC, however, the installer will not fully go through. Can someone give me an explanation of why it won't go through and how to fix it. Thank you. Basically I am on steps 3-5 of this website http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/11/22/how-t...ndows-vista-pc/
  11. I have 2 problems, one on 2 different machines. 1. My taskbar and startmenu does not show up. This is on a Dell laptop. 2. I am unable to install programs, specifically Spyware Doctor on my desktop. I click the setup file but nothing pops up.

  13. Ok, for some reason this Video Studio Just-In-Time Debugger keeps popping up everytime I try to start up Media Player Classic or any media player so far.. I had Visual Studio 2005 and I uninstalled it.. I googled around and nuked HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\DbgManagedDebugger HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug\Debugger But after deleting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug\Debugger I get like just an error now, and I can't start up MPC. Please help
  14. Since there is no jumper, I unplugged the battery and plugged it back in, but the long continuous beep is still there (old memory or not) But with the old memory plugged in, Windows boot up fine (still beeping), but with the new memory, beeping is there, and windows freezes at WinXp logo. Should I update my BIOS? If so, can someone supply a BIOS link for me? I don't wanna dl the wrong one..
  15. I don't have a video card, its onboard. Continuous long beeps: DRAM error = THIS IS THE BEEP! It doesn't stop! And from what I seen its a ram error?? Can anyone explain more? It still beeps if I put my old one back in too. And, when I boot up, it usually freezes at the Windows XP logo, if not, near the beginning before windows start. Reseting bios = taking out the battery and putting it back in? I don't wanna update my BIOs because 1. I don't know if its necessary, 2. I don't know which one to dl even if I wanted to.. Please help me on this guys =(( And I doubt I hit anything in the process while doing this because my brother inserted it in, and he built 4 of our computers, I don't think he would make a careless mistake like that although it could happen. BTW: Motherboard: http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/Products/Mothe...?ProductID=1653 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231047
  16. No I did not.. =( Can anyone give me a program or show me how I can look at what memory is compatible with my motherboard.
  17. Hi all.. This isn't really a huge problem but it is just annoying because I have to click F4 to continue my boot up everytime.. Recently, I updated my motherboard D865GBF BIOS and then it couldn't find my harddrive, so I cleared the CMOS by taking the battery out and putting it back in.. Then everything works fine, but the menu comes where you have to press F4 to continue.. It says like Fixed Harddrive:WDC, etc (shows my HD) But my harddrive is fine, its not dying, its been fine before the update and after the update. Is there anyway I can just remove the menu where it makes me press F4? I did it before on another motherboard but I forgot...
  18. I am so sorry guys but I'd like to point out that I gave you guys the WRONG memory link. The correct memory that I bought is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231047 Of course I know not to force a DDR2 RAM into a board that supports only DDR . I was going to fix this, but right when I click the edit button, my internet went down!!!!!
  19. Sorry I wasn't being too specific. My motherboard model is Gigabyte GA-8IG1000 Pro, Rev1.0. The RAM I bought was http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231098 I read somewhere I believe that my motherboard RAM voltage is 2.5 and this RAM voltage, is 2.6.. Could this be the problem?? Also, the beep is a loooong beep, it doesn't stop at all. And when my computer boots up, it freezes right away. I don't believe I damaged any parts of my motherboard.. How do I check what type of RAM is compatible with my motherboard? And also, how do I go in BIOS and reset the settings, so that next time I can do it correctly, and if possible, can I go in BIOs and change the voltage of the ram to 2.6 or something? Also.. In the end, I tried to plug my own RAM back in and the beeping is still there..
  20. I don't know how to explain this but yesterday I upgraded my RAM to 2gb stick and all of a sudden when I turn the computer on after putting the stick in, the motherboard starts beeping.. I got scared so then I put back my old memory and it still beeps.. What is the problem??
  21. Hi, I have a huge problem with Windows Vista. I am a new user, for about 4 months.. About 1-2 months ago, this is my uncles computer.. Something happened and all of his files keep opening via Windows Media Player. IE: you open Notepad, it pops up Windows Media Player. I think its virus or spyware.. But the thing is when I try to install my Spyware Doctor and AVG scanners, the .exe is opened through Windows Media Player.. I don't know how I can change Vista's default settings so that .exe are opened through their default opener, etc... Bottom line: everything keeps opening via Windows Media Player..
  22. I'm going to try and install a PCI wireless Linksys.
  23. Hi.. Okay, I have this problem with very slow internet speed when my computer says its excellent. I have a Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter and like, the connection says its Very Good and 82% signal strength. Then when I load up IE or Firefox, its slow as heck! Like it barely loads. So I refromated (cus I had other problems as well, virus, spyware, haven't used the comp for over a year) I refromated, upgrade to SP2 and everything, and it still persists! I don't know whats going on but I've eliminated all problems, theres nothing on the computer, its fresh off, just formated windows. The adapter is fine cause I tested it on my laptop, same room, very good speed... The internet is fine, all computers are working well. I'm just so confused!! All drivers are installed, can someone suggest anything please? I'm gonna call Linksys soon but its not their problem cause the adapter works fine, maybe its my computer settings, I don't know?
