  1. Wow the people around my area that were suprised by this one lol. Been working my bottom off trying to help people get "Real CD Keys" from Microsoft lol Geez I never realized how many people didnt understand the way to register thier Windows. Microsoft has had about 50 calls from me in the last 2 days!
  2. Had a computer in the shop the other day doing the exact same thing that you posted -- ended up being that some of the capasitors on the motherboard were starting to "leak" in other words the motherboard either got way to hot or it took too much current from either lightning or power surge. Let me also say this watch out if it is a "leak" on the motherboard as I jarred the do do out of me lol
  3. To see if your running in NTFS or Fat32 format do this -- Click START>CONTROL PANEL>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management Now under the "File System" section it should tell you what type format your using. It will also show wether or not you have a Hidden Partition on the Hard Disk. Hope this helps you.
  4. If your looking for the PAL one then here is the link -- http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/vga/TV%20...34/w2kxpdrv.zip It stated on the ASUS that your card is PAL only so I guess that is the only link for the drivers for that card. Hope this helps
  5. Go here for a utility for your MotherBoard -- http://tw.giga-byte.com/Support/motherboar...A-K8VT800%20Pro Download "Beta:050426 2005/05/06 Easy Tune 5" And see if it wont tell you a bit more about your Board and the temps on it. Also have you tried AMD's Cool 'n' Quiet ? yet? -- Get a demo here -- http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Produc...5E10272,00.html
  6. If you plug both ethernet wires into your computer (you may need an extra NIC for this), you should have 2 "Local Area Connection"'s with internet access. Sharing must be disabled on both of these, then you select them both and right click, click on "Bridge Connections" Then just place one towards the FTP and the other towards your main
  7. If you want a really good cpu monitoring program try out Everest Ultimate and if you want to set your own speeds of your fans use speedfan there both great
  8. nicely done My mother was asking me to make something like this so it would all be in one place. I do like the way you have done it. Thanks again.
  9. You have to type in -- java script:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all') make sure to take notice that thier is no space between java and script also make sure that you have capitals that need to be there.
  10. I ran into this problem also but there is a fix as long as you haven't deleted the wpa.dbl file. Go here and follow thier instructions step by step -- http://www.lavahelp.com/articles/v6/04/06/0901.html Then if you cannot get it activated you may have to call Microsoft and tell them what happened (the spyware name also) and ask them to help with the activation.
  11. Did you try doing the "FIXBOOT" option in the Recovery Console? I do this all the time and never had a problem yet. Use both the "FIXMBR" and the "FIXBOOT". Cheers
  12. The Facts Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up, this should make things a little bit clearer. IN PRISON..........you spend the majority of your time in a 10X10 cell. AT WORK............you spend the majority of your time in an 8X8 cubicle. IN PRISON.........you get three meals a day. AT WORK...........you get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it. IN PRISON..........you get time off for good behavior. AT WORK............you get more work for good behavior. IN PRISON..........the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you. AT WORK............you must often carry a security card and open all the doors for yourself. IN PRISON..........you can watch TV and play games. AT WORK...........you could get fired for watching TV and playing games. IN PRISON.........you get your own toilet. AT WORK..........you have to share the toilet with some people who pee on the seat. IN PRISON..........they allow your family and friends to visit. AT WORK............you aren't even supposed to speak to your family. IN PRISON.........all expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required. AT WORK............you get to pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners. IN PRISON..........you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out. AT WORK ..........you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars. IN PRISON .........you must deal with sadistic wardens. AT WORK...........they are called managers. Now get back to work. You're not getting paid to check emails
  13. LMAO Thats the way it goes now days.
  14. Rapidshare is just like file sharing and is not permitted on msfn. You can go to the NOD32 website and download the trial version then support the greatest virus scanner that has been made to date.
  15. Cojntact your cable isp and tell them that you are being hit by a virus from whatever ip address it is coming from and let them block thier servers from that ip. I have had the same problem more then once on my cable connection and that was the only fix I found. I even sent emails to the attackers isp and told them -- thier only response was that they didn't have anything to do with it so I should just block it. I thought that was mighty crappy of them so I contacted my isp and they took care of everything.
  16. I had the same problem on a clients computer after racking my pea sized brain for hours I decided that I would try small things to fix it. Well to make a long story short I pulled one of the memory sticks and it booted fine. So I shut it down and pulled the other memory stick and inserted the first pulled stick and ended up with that error again. In the end the memory stick was bad.
  17. WOW thats is my dream homes wall in my office lol (I wish)
  18. I like that one but here are two unique ones lol --> http://www.imagebucket.net/images/phatcat4...rrormessage.png http://www.imagebucket.net/images/phatcat4...rmessage002.png
  19. I just have a few questions about products made by Lite-ON. Mainly thier DVD R/RW DL burners. Have anyone here ever used them and if so what are your thoughts about them? I have a Lite-ON DVD R/RW burner but it is the kind that only burns to 4.7 gb disc and I can get the DVD r/RW Dual Layer for around $60.00 here and was just wondering.
  20. You could always invest in a program called "R-Studio" and use it to recover deleted files.
  21. Make sure and do some spyware and virus scans. Also try shutting down a lot of your background stuff that may be running. I noticed that XP MCE likes to start up a lot of services that may not be needed.
  22. Oops I guess I need to catch up on the times. God I didn't realize that they were over clocking to nearly 8 ghz already. I remember when it was the thing to overclock to 1ghz lol
  23. Check out this record attempt at a 5GHZ overclock -- http://www.tomshardware.com/2003/12/30/5_ghz_project/
  24. Do you run XP pro or XP Home? The reason I ask is I have ran into a simular problem on a XP home machine. After I had a crap load of trouble getting it to run smoother I gave up and talked the client into XP Pro and have had no trouble with it at all. I believe that XP Home is a huge mistake just like Windows ME was.
  25. Now thats just kool! I like it I like it a lot! Good Find
