  1. I got something like this way make long ago in XtremeMaC_Tweaks pack. The accesibility_disable.reg looks like this Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility] "Warning Sounds"=dword:00000000 "Sound on Activation"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Blind Access] "On"="0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\HighContrast] "Flags"="98" "High Contrast Scheme"="High Contrast Black (large)" "Volital HC Scheme"="High Contrast Black (large)" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Preference] "On"="0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Response] "AutoRepeatDelay"="1000" "AutoRepeatRate"="500" "BounceTime"="0" "DelayBeforeAcceptance"="1000" "Flags"="2" "Last BounceKey Setting"=dword:000001f4 "Last Valid Delay"=dword:000003e8 "Last Valid Repeat"=dword:000001f4 "Last Valid Wait"=dword:000003e8 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\MouseKeys] "Flags"="2" "MaximumSpeed"="80" "TimeToMaximumSpeed"="3000" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\SerialKeys] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\ShowSounds] "On"="0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\SoundSentry] "Flags"="2" "FSTextEffect"="0" "WindowsEffect"="0" "TextEffect"="0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\StickyKeys] "Flags"="2" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\TimeOut] "Flags"="1" "TimeToWait"="1" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\ToggleKeys] "Flags"="34" I think boosters reg is shorter. I havent tried either way just posting to give more options for people. iN2Fun
  2. I thought "The Suffering" was a really good scarey freaky game as well. It'll make ya jump too.
  3. I have played deus ex 2 all the way through and yes it dont really matter what you do through out the game but at the end level you can pick 4 different ways to end the game. ive finished all 4 ways. Save at the important points and you can always go back and play a different way. So since it doesnt really matter what you do you can pick the choices that help you out the most. What ever choice you make will make enemeys and friends. So pick the best friends to help you till the end. Because if you pick them to be your enemey then you will have to fight them till the end.
  4. for the uxtheme.dll i have it in the cab uxtheme.dl_ and put it straight into the I386 folder. then if you look into your windows folder setuperr.log you will see Error: Setup detected that the system file named [f:\windows\system32\uxtheme.dll] is not signed properly by Microsoft. This file could not be restored to the correct Microsoft version. Use the SFC utility to verify the integrity of the file. and for codec pack i always used install k-lite codec pack on your computer using the command line switch /SAVEINF="%SYSTEMDRIVE%\install.inf" and then when you want to silent install use /VERYSILENT /SP- /LOADINF="install.inf" and its worked for me.
  5. agent-x i just tried your .msi and it looked like the regular installer. still had to hit next and all. but did not have the help and autoscan come up. and i noticed its not pro. still the private edition. wich doesnt matter but was wondering if it will be silent during install. i only tested with running windows. EDIT: sorry forgot about the /qn err one of them days..
  6. ya just have to put in 2 \\ dont work with just one \
  7. or what i do is put my hacked logonui file in my \$OEM$\$$\system32\ folder on the cd and during my runonceex i have it run my reg file. and in my reg file is ;ADDS MY LOGON. LogonHomer must be in windows\system32 !!! or it wont work [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "UIHost"="%windir%\\system32\\LogonHomer.exe" almost same as SiMoNsAyS but without hex and of course name the .exe what ever you want.
  8. i also use the alternative. but i also use opera. so if you do an unattended and install opera or another browser later you will have to go back into the program folders (i.e. real alt/quicktime alt) and install the "browser plugins". and the player it uses is media player classic. hope that helps a little
  9. ive seen this done before. even seen a pic in place of color. but dont know how its done. would like to know though
  10. i dont have any one solution but i would try several things. first in your unattended file under networking have you changed anything in there. leave it at default or dont put anything in. and start over with a new win xp sp1 with just the hotfixes and updates. no silently installed anything. then add your things one at a time till the problem comes up. i had a problem awhile back and it was my ntoskrnl.exe that was making the problem. because i wanted my own bootscreen to come up. some hotfixes change these system files and if you over write or change them it confuses it. you mention zonealarm. try your install without it at all. since it has alot to do with networking. ive had so many problems with zonealarm i just gave it up. just some ideas. if i think of anything else ill let ya know.. iN2Fun
  11. that flags thing i never could get to work or find the log file if it made one and just forgot about it even being there. hehe. but anyways i got it to work. i ran the cmd and checked with regedit and found some entries missing or the first line would be there but not the command line. ?? so what i did was copy and paste the beginning part of the lines that did work REG ADD %KEY%\001 /VE /D " REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D " over to the lines that didnt work and it fixed it. ran the cmd again and it showed up in regedit. not sure what went wrong. looks the same as did before but somehow the line is messed up. (btw i use metapad, maybe that is it?) but its working now and thanks for the help guys i completely forgot about checking it out by running it (duh). thanks!! oh and off the subject. for some reason when ever i run my virtual pc it cuts me offline (i have dsl) does anyone else have that problem? iN2Fun
  12. I havent had problems with this before, but now i cant figure it out. I just got done redoing my unattended cd with the new hotfixes and such and added a few more programs to install and now its messing up. The whole process goes through fine looks normal. But after its all done i notice not all the programs installed. I didnt see any errors or anything. And after the os is up and running i went back through and did the exact commands on the .exe that i did in the runonceex to see what would happen and the program installs fine just like its supposed to. Anyways heres my runonceex. cmdow @ /HID @echo off REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\install\RegTweaks.reg SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx REG ADD %KEY% /V FLAGS /D "0x00000030" /f REG ADD %KEY% /V TITLE /D "Installing Applications" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /VE /D "Preparing Windows..." /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\prepare.cmd" /f REG ADD %KEY%\003 /VE /D "Diskeeper 7 server" /f RED ADD %KEY%\003 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Diskeeper\Setup.exe /s /v/qn" /f REG ADD %KEY%\005 /VE /D "DirectX 9.0b hotfix update" /f REG ADD %KEY%\005 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\directx\Q839643 /Q /O /N /Z" /f REG ADD %KEY%\007 /VE /D "K-Lite codec Video/Audio codecs" /f REG ADD %KEY%\007 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\KLite\install.cmd" /f REG ADD %KEY%\010 /VE /D "Adobe Reader 6" /f REG ADD %KEY%\010 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\AdobeReader6\AR6.msi /qn" /f REG ADD %KEY%\012 /VE /D "Diskeeper 7 update" /f RED ADD %KEY%\012 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Diskeeper\DKupdate.exe /s /v/qn" /f REG ADD %KEY%\015 /VE /D "Q832483 MDAC SecurityPatch" /f REG ADD %KEY%\015 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\mdac\mdac.cmd" /f REG ADD %KEY%\016 /VE /D "DotNet Framework 1.1" /f REG ADD %KEY%\016 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Dotnet\DotNetFW.exe" /f REG ADD %KEY%\020 /VE /D "MSN Messenger 6.2" /f REG ADD %KEY%\020 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\MSN\MsnMsgs.msi /qn" /f REG ADD %KEY%\021 /VE /D "Real Alternative 1.23" /f REG ADD %KEY%\021 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\RealAlt\realalt123.exe /VERYSILENT /SP-" /f REG ADD %KEY%\022 /VE /D "Metapad 3.5" /f REG ADD %KEY%\022 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\metapad\metapad.cmd" /f REG ADD %KEY%\023 /VE /D "AdAware 6 build 181" /f RED ADD %KEY%\023 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Adaware\aaw6181.exe /s" /f RED ADD %KEY%\024 /VE /D "QuickTime Alternative 1.33" /f RED ADD %KEY%\024 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\QTalt\quicktimealt133.exe /VERYSILENT /SP-" /f REG ADD %KEY%\025 /VE /D "TweakUI 2.10 Powertoy" /f REG ADD %KEY%\025 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\PowerToys\TweakUI.msi /qn" /f REG ADD %KEY%\030 /VE /D "Image Resizer Powertoy" /f REG ADD %KEY%\030 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\PowerToys\ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe /s /v/qn" /f REG ADD %KEY%\055 /VE /D "Cleaning Up and Rebooting" /f REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\cleanup.cmd" /f EXIT the programs not installing are Diskeeper, KLite codecs, Adaware, and Quicktime Alt. For the KLite i even tried puttin in a seperate .cmd thinking it might help it. cmdow @ /HID @echo off %systemdrive%\install\KLite\klcodec227f.exe /VERYSILENT /SP- /LOADINF="install.inf" With the Diskeeper ive been putting that in my unattended for along time and its always worked, not sure why its not going in now. With the rest of them they are new in my runonceex.cmd And like I said ealier i can go back and open a cmd prompt and goto the dir on the cd and put in the exact commands and they all will install fine. Any ideas or need more info just ask. I was also thinking of making a .cmd file or something that can go through and make sure that everything is installed right. Like using the IF commands and searching for key files that will be in the installed program folder. If its not there then install again or put the info in a .txt file. If anyone has done this let me know. iN2Fun
  13. can you give us a link to this process mate. i did a search on google for it and didnt see it. maybe i didnt look hard enough though.
  14. just wanted to share what i found. if its here already then i missed it. and sorry for double posting something you already know. i posted awhile back that my unattended went fine but when i installed zonealarm it would goto BSOD. thats the only problem i had. well i went back and started all over. fresh install. zonealarm worked, added sp1a, it worked, and so on and so on till i found the problem.. and it was my customized bootscreen the oemkrnl.exe i was under the impression that when you add the line to your boot.ini the KERNEL=oemkrnl.exe that there would be no problems with it. that as long as i didnt mess with the real ntoskrnl.exe that everything would be ok. well i guess somehow it does matter and after i found the problem i went and looked inside the .exe's and noticed that in my old one was a diff version and the new one even said xpsp2. anyways the point is for anyone that has there customized boot screen added during there unattended that they make sure there oemkrnl.exe is the same as there ntoskrnl.exe. not sure what hotfix changed it but its there. and again if this has already been posted before iam sorry for double posten it. and now we or i know that it caused problems with some programs especially Zonealarm.
  15. this one really has me stumped. i always use AVG for antivirus and ZoneAlarm for firewall. well ive been working on my unattended cd for awhile now testing it out in virtual pc. and when i get all the kinks out and think its perfect to use i go ahead and reformat and use my unattended cd. everything goes in great, everything looks great till i install zonealarm. i did not have it in my unattend i installed it after my os was up and running. now this is what happen. i installed zonealarm, everything seemed fine. till it got to the part where it says "start zone alarm now?" and i clicked yes and it started up and bam blue screen of death. i had the disable bsod in reg so i seen the code. came up with 0x00000050 (0x85866289,0x00000001,0x80595a99,0x00000001) i rebooted and went into safe mode and went through everything looking for the problem. i found in event viewer it said something about the Truevector wich is part of zonealarm. so i went to truevector in services and it says that it relies on 3 other services, Remote procedure call (which is there), vsdatant (which i could not find in services), and AFD Networking Support Environment (which i could not find either) so i did a search for them and found vsdatant.sys in windows\system32 folder and afd.sys in windows\system32\drivers. ive searched all over microsoft knowledge base for the numbers and they all came up for nt, i read them anyways and couldnt see anything that related to me. i searched for vsdatant and found a few things but nothing helped and one from microsoft that said zone labs is supposed to have a new vsdatant and the link went to a page on zonelabs that said they dont support the corporate edition. search for afd came up on microsoft as a service that says if its disabled it could cause problems but i dont have a service that says anything like AFD Networking Support Environment. I had zonealarm working before and ive tried 3 different versions that i had saved. and they all do the same blue screen. ive went into safe mode and disabled true vector service and reboot and zone alarm runs fine but dont work because true vector is not running of course. ive searched zone alarm forums and nothing. so ive narrowed it down to my unattended cd. i must have messed up something but i cant figure it out. does anyone else have AFD in there services? or vsdatant (if they have zonealarm)in there services? at first i was going to just blow this off and find another firewall but i really dont like the idea of my os messed up. or what about down the road and other programs. ive tried different things on my unattend with virtual pc and it still comes up with bsod after zonealarm is installed. any info would be great. iN2Fun
