  1. The only thing that can be restored would be the defaults.
  2. Hey man, if you want direct x9c Windows XP sp2 has it already embeded Some newer games require later builds of DirectX 9.0c than what comes with the factory build of DirectX.
  3. Some games require newer builds of DirectX than comes with the Windows XP cd. I can think of one that I own that requires last may's build or later.
  4. No that windows update isn't included but I use RyanVM's updates and that has the MS dual core hotfix in it. I ran PEiD on them to figure out what kind of installer they were then I googled to find common switches for those types of installers and then tested those switches. the setup.exe one uses an MS installer and the amdcpusetup.exe one uses a Wise installer. After that I just downloaded the nLite add-on creator tool and used it to make my cab files......making sure I put the switches into it. This site and the people who donate all those tools are just awesome!!!!
  5. I just got firefox to load my extensions without the XPI. I manually copied over some profile stuff and that must have done it because some of the extensions I now have I don't have an XPI for. Still managed to not get my bookmarks into my sfirefox.exe and installed though. I need to play with it more.
  6. Thanks for the answers guys. I finally got around to messing with this. I found the switches for each installer and used the nLite addon program to make them nLite addons and they worked just fine. I've put them on my webspace if anyone wants them. AMD Dual Core Optimizer MD5 checksum dc3ac1b3fc623df71b49106520fa18a4 AMD Athlon 64/FX Processor Driver MD5 checksum d8261d334796b21e9ec2f32b63003604
  7. Has anyone successfully integrated the AMD Dual core drivers and the dual core optimizer into their nLite install? Before I try it I wanted to see if anyone else had since I don't exactly know a whole lot about adding new stuff. I guess I'm afraid I'd try putting it in the installation at the wrong point.
  8. Has anyone tried including the latest pattern file with their install? I was wondering if the pattern file had to be renamed to match the one that came with the installer or if I could just include the new one and delete the old one. I think I'll just delete the old one and see what happens.
  9. The Forecastfox extension won't work with this program. I think it probably has something to do with the extension popping up a dialog box the first time you open Firefox after installing it. Whenever I open Firefox after using the silent installer with Forecastfox in it I get the attached error message and I have to go past it twice every time I open Firefox. It wasn't much fun uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox to figure this out but now I know. I've got my core extensions so it should be a problem for me in the future. I just wanted to warn anyone else who might come upon this problem. If I'd been smarter I would have just removed extensions from within Firefox until I found the offending one but I suppose hindsight is 20/20 So yes, If you install an extension that does something like this removing it in Firefox will fix the problem.
