  1. Uninstall Cortana from Windows 10

Edit: I don't want or need Cortana. They should give us option of uninstalling somewhere. I also don't want the Search2 tracking my stuff Search will still work in Explorer and Ctrl F will still work in documents Bells and Whistles NoelC has a Windows10ReTweaker script if you want to remove Cortana and Store with all useless APPS Bells and Whistles you have to download a few programs and add to folder right now. Still working far as this edit 7/12/2017 Or the install_wim_tweak method below [Heres How] I also used Git method here first Still used wim_tweak to get rid of it but had to add some things and I added full paths. NOTICE: You may need to run this cmd install_wim_tweak_NET4.6.exe /o /l < 1 time till it creates a Packages.txt and get your actual package names from that. 2. Jump2RegTen for 10 and 7

Thought I'd share this Jump2RegTen registry Tool. If you mess with the registry much then this is a tool you need. I name it with Ten only cause I created in C# on Windows 10 It works on Windows 7, haven't tested on Win 8 Its faster on the reg searches than what I previously used vbs with Jump2Reg You can copy a reg key from internet searches or whatever and Right click your Desktop or any whitespace in any folder aka ""BACKGROUND"" and choose 'Jump2RegTen with key' It will work with both 32 bit and 64 registry entries. If you have 64 bit you can switch between by unchecking the 64 and it switch to 32 bit keys. Want to see the difference select the 64 Bit Wow6432Node in the list and switch between 32 and 64 Install to C:\Windows. Its just a couple files go there http://www.mediafire.com/file/chxoa4tkwoozsxw/Jump2RegTenInstall1.0.2.zip Update to 1.0.1 Will now Open registry key on first one you copy if closed. Update to 1.0.2 Now has the copy from clipboard added in C# code Any ? just ask
  3. Jump2RegTen for 10 and 7

Update to 1.0.2 Now has the copy from clipboard added in C# code No more cmd window popping up
  4. Uninstall Cortana from Windows 10

Thanks Trip I was going to search winaero for that but was busy this morning. I see it using wimtweak which is old now. 2nd post I commented on that back on Posted August 24, 2015 I'll stick to Noels script works just fine
  5. Uninstall Cortana from Windows 10

Dude I'm not gonna download anybodys crap ok and nobody else should, you in nerd ville for windows tweakers and also very careful people. I gave link to download original Winaero Tweaker which I have no problem running. And besides that UNINSTALL CORTANA is the post Topic not disable
  6. Uninstall Cortana from Windows 10

Winaero can disable it and why use your link. go direct http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.1836
  7. Uninstall Cortana from Windows 10

Clearly stated in first Post that Noel has a script and a link to it. Does it need bells and whistles around it? I still use it and have modified his script to leave some items I want to keep. Other stuff there was our attempts at doing this early on.
  8. Jump2RegTen for 10 and 7

Did that in place Upgrade to W10 Creators Update and my right click "Jump2RegTen with key" quit working. Other things messed up also. Have to look at installing with an Unattended possibly to get rid of overhead garbage but will have to test in a VM to tweak it up before I completely wipe it. Noel's script put me back but still a bunch of problems that were working before. Was using powershell to capture clipboard and open registry with it but this no longer works. Working on a C# fix Untill then I use this Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell\Jump2RegTen with key] "MUIVerb"="Jump2RegTen with key" "icon"="C:\\WINDOWS\\Jump2regTen.exe" "Position"="Top" "HasLUAShield"="" "NoWorkingDirectory"="" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell\Jump2RegTen with key\command] @="C:\\WINDOWS\\Jump2regTen.exe"
  9. Notice: Install Se7en_UA to root of any drive like D:\Se7en_UA EDIT: Se7en_UA6.3.33 final for XP Vista. Use this last version 6.3.33 if you are running XP or Vista. I regret that I can no longer keep both updated. Easiest way to do Seven is just install it to drive without a key and you have 30 days to build your unattended. XP now? has to be same architecture as the Target Vista/Seven OS Go get the Windows 7 SP1 original iso here. straight from MS [Direct Download Links] Download Official, Original and Untouched Windows 7 with SP1 ISO (32-bit and 64-bit) more languages here http://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/14-windows-7-direct-download-links As long as they are coming from msft.digitalrivercontent.net they are valid MS downloads These are authentic Microsoft. Much better than getting from an unknown untrusted source Please read my first 5 or 6 posts after this one and then if you have ? ask.Read this post here by ar_seven_am Ok, here's the additional notes for someone who got problems with Se7en_UA, I've test it with XP SP3 x86, Vista SP1 & SP2 x86, Windows 7 x86 :This is not a very complicated application. It is like a teaching tool so new people can learn the structure and layout of Windows Unattending. Most can click on the text next to a checkbox and it will explain what it's going to do.I structured it this way where you click one item at a time and complete them step's before allowing it to move on. Thing's have to be done correctly in order for you to create a sucessful Installation DVD.This will work for those know nothing of Unattended setups. You can use the basics from this or refer to other posts here in this forum or the Unattended Vista forum to find answers.I know that may be annoying to veteran unattenders but let's help the new people.Working now with 64 bit images.USE SAMPLE XML first try of this. I don't have all settings and you can mod it after. Let me know if I need to add something!!!Does not use the WAIK if installed or Windows directories unless you don't have waik or Win 7 then it only copies a few files. You can move your Appswitch.dat to new folder. Edit it and change the Paths Don't hotlink these file's directly, I make changes and will only update my link Do a favor and let people download the latest. Mediafire download. If you need a different download I'll upload to rapidshare. Let me know Se7en_UA.exe Current Version Always Here or in my Signature Mediafire has added scanning of files with Bitdefender Release Notes: Included in Version.txt

  12. I recently needed to look at some .wims and I hate pasting the commands one by one so decided to update this for Win 10. Had a very good time figuring this out. All the things from Win 7/8 would not work to elevate. Try any dism command and it tell you need admin privileges. So I use nircmd.exe from Nirsoft. Right now only 64 bit. It will be easy to change for 32 bit. Let me know if you need help doing that. http://www.mediafire.com/file/8g6mozfe45a15ta/WIMrightclick__Install_Win10_64bit.zip ; 10/23/2016 ; Added reg scripts for Windows 10 with Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK) for Windows 10 installed for 64 bit ; Windows ADK for Windows 10, version 1607 or 1511 ; Install with this command >> adksetup.exe /features OptionId.DeploymentTools /norestart /q /ceip off ; C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit is only 54MB doing this ; You need nircmd from Nirsoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html ; I copy nircmd.exe to C:\Windows
  13. You can decompress to a install.wim though it might be larger Take note of the index of the particular OS version you'd like to install (in case the esd has many images therein) the number is what is inserted in the SourceIndex. Am choosing index 1 (Windows 7 Home Premium) From an ADMIN cmd prompt in same folder dism /export-image /SourceImageFile:install.esd /SourceIndex:1 /DestinationImageFile:install.wim /Compress:max /CheckIntegrity I know with ESD it installs much faster so figuring this out might be needed.
  14. Win 10 Running it after your script been applied several months everything was much faster applying all. Just done a fresh install without running your script first it gets some of the APPS but leaves a lot of APPS and gets some FAILED items about 48 things from 280 items guess that not too bad. Does seem to speed the system up each time though so that's good. Guess I need to show results to them Overall good find. Been having Inet trouble nearly a month right after trial that Sphinx but that wasn't it. Finally got the right Tech out here yesterday that fixed it.
  15. Decided to give it a test since I applied Noel script blackbird -scan --Blackbird does not currently support Redstone builds. To prevent any damage to your PC Blackbird will now exit.

Nope KB3176927 only updates 14393.0 to 14393.10 Can get Windows10Upgrade28084.exe 17mb from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12387/windows-10-update-history and it will update 1511 but it may be like a full install, I didn 't do it. I just used MediaCreationTool but if you are running 1511 it will download a 1511 version or did for me on 8/2. So I fired up a VM and put on a 14* ver and used MediaCreationTool Was disappointed, don't know why they forked these into 2 different versions 1511 and 14393 and in the end took away 1511 possibly. May go back and see what happens in a vm.

None, your script fly by so fast I seen the errors you described above, only 2. Candy Crush is one can right click on Start menu and do Uninstall anyway This is still much better than expected, last time it left quite a bit after a full install. I went ahead and updated my stock system with this release and another thing is it is not bringing back all the crapola Something you may add to script I started using something a couple months back where I block all updates even defender by setting my system to ethernet as metered. When it starts complaining I go look and see what it wants to update. I have to allow before it will download any updates.
