Can anyone explain me what that is and what are the types and what do they means?

for example
[AddProgram]
WinRAR371.exe /S

Sometimes they come with /S sometimes other names

Secondly, what does switches means?

The silent switch means no user interaction, no clicking next etc.

then what do i have to type in additionally to the ENTRIES_PROGRAM.ini file?
do i just follow this guide?
