I just have a brief question. For my vLite Vista Ultimate Slipstream I was considering removing the following two services...

Remote Desktop and Assistance
Remote Desktop Client

If I have no desire to connect directly to other computers and/or assist others in setting up their computer/troubleshooting their computer there is no reason for me to keep these two Components correct?

Basically I'm trying to set up Vista for maximum functionality that I need for gaming, and anything involving remote administration is something I have no need for since its being installed on a Laptop.

Thanks

Yes, don't be afraid, at the end if you don't like it just reinstall. One note though, don't activate your Windows until you're sure that it is the way you want it so that you don't spend all your online activations. There is 30 day trial period.
Removing those 2 is perfectly fine, just read descriptions of those red-marked ones with extra caution.

I remove all except Internet Explorer (i need it to test my pages), Application Experience and Aero. Not a single issue.
