hello!

My HFSLIP-Win2ksp4 installation allways aborts after entering the key with an error of "setup.exe"

what does it mean? can anybody help me?

Welcome to the HFSLIP forum. To solve your problem, you may want to start with going through your hotfixes to verify all of those are applicable to W2K. For starters, you have WindowsRightsManagementServicesSP2-KB917275-Client-GER-x86.exe which is for XP. I would recommend to use Tomcat76's dynamic hotfix list.

I used this list, but perhaps i looked not good enough at WindowsRightsManagementServicesSP2-KB917275-Client-GER-x86.exe. :blushing:
Now i´ll try ain.

Is there any other thing that could be wrong?

can i install the new cd only by repair-console, or should i do this real new?

there is the same error when i remove WindowsRightsManagementServicesSP2-KB917275-Client-GER-x86.exe.

i think have not the time to try it a few times, but if anyone has a quick idea... :rolleyes:
ohterwise i have to do all manually :wacko:

It's most likely caused by mp09setup.exe. Is that the original from Microsoft? HFSLIP expects wmburn.exe inside it, otherwise PidGen.dll won't be renamed, consequently overwriting PIDGEN.DLL in your new source.

I am not sure were this is from, but i have only this version.

Yes, an error from PIDGEN.DLL happend, when i started the (old) instalation directly fom the folder...
