RJARRRPCGP
Can I say this? It's a KNOWN ISSUE BY ME! The only solutions I found are:1. Slipstream or integrate ALL of the hotfixes.2. Use AutoPatcher. Apparently, Microsoft won't admit that there's a major bug with Windows Update! I'm NOT the only one with this problem! I saw the dreaded "The update.ver file is not correct." error message on a Dell that I was working on and then I was forced to reinstall Internet Explorer 7 on that PC, probably because the installers of the hotfixes that I was required to reinstall replaced the Internet Explorer 7 files with Internet Explorer 6 files without warning! The first symptom of the bug you're definitely a victim of, for most people, is that when you go back to the update site it lists the same updates! Then when you check the logs, there's the dreaded "The update.ver file is not correct." error message! With this bug, Windows Update WON'T give an error! In fact, Windows Update claims the update was successful!Mods or xper, please sticky this! This is a major bug that I can't believe Microsoft didn't respond to! Edited July 17, 2007 by RJARRRPCGP
