Partly works for Vista x64. Renaming new folders is resolved. Renaming a "specific" existing folder or even moving them fails even after taking ownership and correcting rights:
INGEBOUWD\Administrators:F
INGEBOUWD\Administrators:(OI)(CI)(IO)F
NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEEM:F
NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEEM:(OI)(CI)(IO)F
INGEBOUWD\Gebruikers:(OI)(CI)F
NT AUTHORITY\Geverifieerde gebruikers:(OI)(CI)F

nuhi you are awesome! Weird thing was I could still manipulate folders through the command prompt but not the gui. Thanks for tearing into this obscure issue!

marc2003, wait a second, it fixed your rename issue or just the reg import worked but it's still the same?
(just playing safe before celebrating)

rezzo, here.

Thanks for the fix. I was afraid my windows needed a reformat.

Aye, many thanks indeed, it was starting to get very uncomfortable to use.

What is weird though is that I didn't install that beta compatibility fix thingy.
