Hi All- I used Windows Explorer to Copy & Paste all my files & folders & images to another hard drive prior to installing a new hard drive. After installing Win XP Pro SP2 + current updates I can open any of my images in PS CS3, but I cannot open any of my file in Word or Excel 97 - 2003. When I try to open any of the files I get the message "The file you are trying to open, Book1.xls, is in a different format than specified by the file extension". I have the same or similar problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0. I did a search in Microsoft Knowledge Base and their Forum and could find no useful info or help.

My PC config: Intel Core E6600 2.4 GHz, 2GB RAM, etc. Any and all help will be appreciated. Bob Hartman
