most newer programs use the WIndows Installer, including Wise and INstallshields.
try the /qn or /qb switch.

or am I doing something wrong?
Copernic Agent Pro has refused all switches so far...

Can you tell me wich programs compile this script again please ?
Between, I've also found another way to install Copernic Agent Pro 6 that could be leading to something good:
Fist, install Copernic on you hd. Configure it with your serial and name.
Then, go inside Regedit and export :
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Copernic\Agent]
This is going to be the first thing that you install with your cd. Before Copernic itself.
After you have installed this regkey, run copernic.exe /S and only 1 window will pop-up. It will ask you to customize or not Copernic I think.
Thenk, Copernic will open.
So.. If a script could be made out of that, only one button should be pressed. Then, a killtask to close Copernic should do the thing.
I'm still working on that. I don't know how to script so... if anyone would like to give it a shot, feel free to post your results here.

Tho I haven't really played with it much in script form...I normally just compile it and then call that executable.
You should be able to customize that script down to the smallest detail...its one I decided to get fairly anal about.
Tho I don't think I got into shortcut removal...that a side its pretty detailed.

Even what i thought was working is not.
Ans as for the au3 script, well i can't use it since it places a default install dir with the letter C: . So, i case i need to install it somewhere else, it's impossible to use.
That's really i though one.
I can use the /s switch, but it's way not all silent.
I went into the Registry to find if this application was easy to install... but there are keys everywhere.. and really, it overpasses my knowledge.
We could give a price for the one who succeed !
So, for now, i won't put this application with my installation.

Yeah this is one of my earlier scripts so its was coded for C:\ now its where ever the default "Program Files" folder is D: or Z: it doesn't care.
The "End User Var's" are meant to be tweaked...so get in and have fun...if need be dig through the AutoIt help file...lots of good info in there...just no real tutorial...but some good base examples of code in there that I rape daily.

Besides, when i tried your first one, i was unable to enter my serial number. I tried to put the numbers but nothing appeared when i exucuted the script.
Anyhow, i'll follow your advice and i'll go through the help file
Thanks for your replies!

hehe life is just to short.
I actually use UltraEdit for most editing its got its strong points and weak points like most editors...tho I find it over all the best...but not the be all end all.
For getting by on the cheap for AutoIt you would be hard pressed to beat this custom build of SciTE.
Really hunt around and find some thing that suits your needs price vs feature set.
[UltraEdit]
[TextPad]
[SciTE]
[Programmers Notepad]
[PolyEdit]
[NoteTab]
[Metapad]
[LightPad]
[Jext]
[GWD Text Editor]
[EmEditor]
[EditPro]
[EditPlus]
[EditPad Pro]
[Crimson Editor]
[Boxer Text Editor]
[PSPad Editor]
Heh well you should be able to find some thing you like out of that selection. There are tons more out there...those are just the ones I've personally played with at some given point and time.
Also if you look at my scripts and they look like hell...well you probably have to adjust to setting more inline with what I used to create the scripts...thus use a mono spaced font like Courier New and a tab spacing of 8, then every thing should look pretty.

USING THE " /S " SWITCH COMMAND I FOUND THAT IF YOU CHANGE THE
SETUPS NAME FROM Copernic Agent Pro.exe TO Copernic.exe /S .
IT WILL DO A SILENT INSTALL BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO ENTER YOUR SERIAL
BEFORE SETUP COMPLETES?
HOPE THIS HELPS
- ← Logitech Setpoint Bluetooth
- Application Installs
- auto-copying (via batch) of rar files from dvd to hdd →
