jabu2oz
I've just made a new slipstream disk with nLite. After going through the process as normal and adding a few "Addons", after installing the slipstreamed XP, I've realised I want to remove some of those Addons. Is there a way of doing this without recreating the whole disk? Because I have deleted the original "source".If I load nLite with the previously slipstreamed disk, after it's copied (to make a new "source"), you can remove further Windows components, but I can't see a way of removing the added "Addons". strotee76
1. copy entire XP CD to temp folder on hard drive. (we'll call it c:\XPCD)2. Start, Run, type in "cmd", hit Enter.3. Browse to your i386 folder under c:\XPCD4. type "expand svcpack.in_ svcpack.inf" hit Enter (single space between files)5. type "svcpack.inf", hit Enter. it'll likely open Notepad6. look for a section called [setupHotfixesToRun]7. delete the entire line for the app(s) you do not want to install8. save file, replace existing file9. in the command box, type "makecab svcpack.inf" hit Enter10. type "del svcpack.inf", hit Enter11. confirm the file exists, type "dir svcpack*", hit Enter, confirm there's a svcpack.in_ file (with today's date & time)12. type "exit", hit Enter13. look for a SVCPACK folder under i386 in c:\XPCD, look for app(s) you wish to delete, highlight, delete it14. (tons of ways to do this, but easiest) open nLite, choose c:\XPCD, choose Bootable ISO, burn directly to new CD
