adrian2055
Everytime I check for a directX update it tells me tries to download Verison 9.0c. I usually close the page before it starts. I wanted to know if it is this possible to go back to v9 and if so should I downgrade based on my pc settings?
thebigbluecan
I think that its ok to install it. Im pretty sure you will still have dx10. I had that happen to me and I did download DX9.0c but when i did "Run" "dxdiag" it told me that i had DX 10 still. Im pretty sure but not definite. Mabie someone else could help you out more. MrCobra
You'll need to install DX9.0c in Vista for the games that require certain (newer) DX9 components. Installing version 9 in Vista will not get rid of version 10.
nitroshift
Although Vista "wows" about DX10, spme elements of DX9 are *still* there for backwards compatibility.
