When I start WUD it begins downloading fine. But after awhile Vista pops up a window saying "Windows Updates Downloader has stopped working". I've only been able to successfully download a few updates. I'm in Nairobi, Kenya and my internet connection is very poor with long timeouts sometimes. What is the timeout setting for WUD? Could that be the problem?
thanks,
Wayne

Do you have any more details regarding the IOException?

Actually, I'm getting the same-ish error immediately upon starting the program on Windows Vista Enterprise. The program installs/uninstalls with no problems, runs on an XP machine but I don't even get to a GUI on my PC.

I believe the custom tree view is causing the error. I need to do more investigation.
