just a quick one that works a treat.. an easy way to add 1-6 users

create the file oobeinfo.ini containing something like this

[UserInfo]
Identity000="Numinous"
Identity001="Hedley Smythe"
Identity002="Kool"
Identity003="The Gang"
Identity004="Chaz Manson"
Identity005="Nosmo King"

Identity000 will be the administrator account

place it in the folder $oem$\$$\system32\oobe

check your ref.chm for other options to add to oobeinfo.ini

:)

Man, totally forgot about the "Out of the Box Experience" stuff I used to use when I built a lot of systems.

Thanks man! My next effort will include this.

Once again, Numinous, information worth reading. I particularly like how you manage to do it with a short post. I gotta work on that ... (Now to quickly remove that awkward code I used to add users ...)

Excellent workaround. Since you say that Identity000="Numinous" is the Administrator account, does that mean "Numinous" is the only Admin Account, or is there an "Administrator" and "Numinous" both with Admin priviledges ?

You would still get an "Administrator" account. This is basically the way to automate the mini-walkthru that Windows usually has when you install it attended. It gives you the ability to put in 6 names to create accounts.

an administrator account may still exist though. It would not have a profile in D&S because it was never logged into. If you check out local accounts I am sure you will find Administrator is still there.

Man, how dumb! I can't believe you posted this!

:rolleyes:
Keep up the good work man. :)

BTW, do we know during what part of the install the oobe is applied? I'm currently @ the Gui portion and it seems to still be running in Administrator. I think it runs during where welcome normally would....does anybody know for sure?
