303
Just built a monster rig and delayed getting a TV tuner card...Really want to know what you all think is the "best", in terms of features / qualityHappauge? ATI? Avermedia? It appears the Happauges are the most widely used...I would like it to have HD and digital tuning capability for future compat. As far as PCI vs PCIx - doesn't really matterIs the Gemstar guide still being used? Or do these newer cards have something bigger and better, so to speak?I remember I had an old Gateway with a tuner card and it used that guide (updated over the net)yes, it's been a while!I would love to dualboot to Mtyhbox / MediaPortal / etc. if possible, as wellgotta love itEdit: Found this - http://www.msfn.org/board/HD_TV_Turner_Cards_t103026.htmlStill would like to know about the Guide thing... rendrag
Though it doesn't support OTA HD, I'd suggest taking a look at nVidia's Dual TV. I have it in my htpc (until I make the plunge for FiOS) http://www.nvidia.com/page/dualtvmce.htmlOne of the great things is that it's a dual tuner in a single PCI slot (1 coax in with an internal splitter) which was a big thing for me. Picture quality seemed better than the ATi AIO 9800 Pro I had before, and it worked as advertised with XP MCE.hauppage is as others had described, a great lineup of cards
