Do NOT "upgrade" to the latest version (7.0.1473), stay with 7.0.1466 for now.

The only way to recover is to boot into safe mode by pressing F8, then use System Restore to get back to a point before installing build 1473.

Other changes:
Latest versions of Google Earth and Chrome don't work in my test VM, I've provided a link to the previous version of Google Earth but as Chrome automatically updates it will suicide itself. Needed to supply direct link to Skype business installer as it's no longer listed on the webpage and the normal full installer won't work if you're offline (says it can't contact the download server).
Also changed the frequency of internet time synchronisation from weekly to daily as I've always found that systems drift considerably, my desktop loses about 10 minutes a week.

I was sent to this site.
Friends Hard drive crashed
New hard drive.... I have the older Win XP Pro disks where SP2 & SP3 need to be added sepatately. His new drive is 500 GB it's formating at 131 GB.
What do I need to do to expand the drive ??? I was told I need Windows XP with SP 2 & SP 3 combined.
I have tried booting Win XP after dividing the drive to 60gb and rebotting. The remainder of the unformatted drive is unaccessible. In DOS it Boots to reprogram drive- open- only shows 60 gb. other disappeared
If I need to download which order do I need to apply it to the other computer ??
I am no computer genius the simpler the better.
Thanks,
Owen

That being said, assuming you have an original Microsoft XP disk, all you need to do under nLite is integrate Service Pack 3 (when integrating there is no need to install Service Packs seperately).
You may as well integrate the latest Hotfix Pack at the same time.
For 32-bit XP I also integrate a few bits and pieces, here's what I include (all from the same site as the update pack):
[Hotfixes] D:\Operating_Systems\nLite\WinXP\Hotfix\1_XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack_20121211.7z D:\Operating_Systems\nLite\WinXP\Hotfix\2_Ricks-YumeYao_IE8_Addon_Clean_ENU_1_4_17.7z D:\Operating_Systems\nLite\WinXP\Hotfix\3_YumeYao_WMP11_Addon_ENU_V3_4_5.7z D:\Operating_Systems\nLite\WinXP\Hotfix\4_Ricks-YumeYao_MicrosoftVC78910RuntimeLibraries_MixedAddon_2_1_5.7z D:\Operating_Systems\nLite\WinXP\Hotfix\5_YumeYao_XPSWIC_Installer_Addon_1_2_0.cab D:\Operating_Systems\nLite\WinXP\Hotfix\6_Kels_CPLBonus_v12.8.8_addon.rar D:\Operating_Systems\nLite\WinXP\Hotfix\7_Kels_Uber_Addon_v16.5.7z

1 - as is
2 - integrate the 32-bit SP3 (no need to exit)
5 - add User_Hidden's Update Pack (only, the files linked to in this guide are 64-bit specific so don't use them)
10 - as is

Windows XP x64
KB2757638-x64 | MS13-002 | msxml | 36258 | Replaces KB2719985
APSB13-01 | Flash Player 11.5.502.146 | (a.k.a. KB2796096 in IE10)
.NET Framework 2.0 (I don't check .NET 1.1 and 4.0, sorry.)
KB2742596 | MS13-004 | .net 2.0 | 36275 | Replaces many updates. See below.
.NET Framework 3.5
KB2756918 | MS13-004 | .net 3.0 | 36368 | See below.
KB2736416 | MS13-007 | .net 3.5 | 36300 | Replaces KB982306
Note:
There are many old updates replaced by updates in MS13-004 bulletin. It would be tiring for me to check every update in it, so I checked only what I needed.
KB2686828 replaced by KB2742596
KB2656369 replaced by KB2742596
KB2604092 replaced by KB2729450 + KB2742596 together
KB979909 replaced by KB2742596
KB982306 replaced by KB2736416
KB982168 replaced by KB2756918 + KB2656352 + KB2539631 together. (KB982168 is a rollup update that consist of KB976769, KB976765, and KB980773. All of them are replaced. However Microsoft do not mention the replacement. I guess it's because KB2756918 is technically not a security update.)
EDIT (2013-01-11): Add note that KB982306 and KB982168 are replaced.

Of course with .Net 4.0 the patches are 201MB where the actual installer is only 48MB, only Microsoft would have a program where the updates are over four times the size of the original program without issuing an updated installer.

A bit late this month, a tad busy with other things. As one can see mostly .Net related changes this month, now if only Microsoft would put out updated installers that would vastly cut down both the size of the install media and the time taken to install (as .Net patches take forever to apply).

I couldn't say. But after having tested Kurt_Aust's current .NET updates list (2.0 + 3.5 + 4.0) on a fresh install with my pack, I can say with certainty that as posted it satisfies the Microsoft Update website; no .NET updates are offered.
