Changing the orange bitmaps would be a piece of cake!

Note to all

My website is going to be down for the rest of the month...
Within the first 2 days of the release of 2.1 my bandwitdth used was double my hosting accounts limits...

Hey, if you do change the orange to black in the Zune theme, don't forget to change the name of it so you don't overwrite the original (or if someone later installs the original and overwrites yours). Perhaps Zune Darkside?

Mixed responses on the theme change I see...

XPize has always been about updating old system resources.
I was never a fan when XPero changed the visual style in xpize.

Pgase's visual style was originally chosen as a last minute thing.
Now i've come across an official XP dark style logon (zune) It just seemed perfect, admittedly I dont like the orange twinges to it though.

Royale Noir looks even better than zune, but I'm sure I've tried that out before and something went wrong... will have another looksy!

I kind of like Pgase's Vista Luna Basic, myself, especially the subdued colors to indicate a window wants your attention. Only thing I don't like about it is losing the logon photo in the start menu.

Hmmm... I take back what I said about losing the logon photo with Vista Luna Basic. Seems he made a version with the user name and logon photo in the start menu. Gone back to XPize Darkside and Vista Luna Basic here. :)

HELP:
XPize Darkside 2.1 was released Friday the 12th... As you may have noticed my site has been down all month, this is because I doubled my bandwidth limit in 2 days! I get charged per mb over the limit by £0.02. Now that doesn't sound much does it? When you multiply that by 4,874mb it comes in at £97.48 (and thats before they've added VAT!!!)... I've just had my bill through, and I do not have the finance to pay for it!
Help me, help you... DONATE!

Hey Zedox?

Wanna laugh?

Due to leechers or the popularity of your pack (or both) I used just over 122 GIGS of bandwidth alone last month on Darkside 2.1 last month :P

Thats **** amazing it had 37,388 hits for your pack alone.

Don't remove my mirror though I have unlimited bandwidth and am not worried about it.

Hi.

All Good in this pack.
The only problem was that I could not install the boot screen of the package in Windows XP SP2 (In Spanish).

Tested on 4 PCs with the same system

The problem is XPize DarkSide 2.0 and 2.1

Aware of Win2K3 Server is mostly of course not the goal of a package like this (issues of bootscreen or logon screen replacing). The changed winntbbu.dll doesnt appereared at last installation :(

Need i edit that file self that the "server" page of it is modified???

Thanks for any useful answer.

A small legal hint: My W2K3 is an evalution copy i use only for development testing purposes...

Very cool indeed! What if I want to do an unattended install? Does it support the same switches as regular XPize? If not, what are they so I can perform a fully silent custom install?

Thanks!

Does this pack overwrite the DLL files or does it simply replace the bitmaps inside of these files. I have the vipv3 vista icon pack that I was integrate into my windows. The only thing I need from this pack is the edited bitmaps for the wizards and a few other minor things. Is it possibly to some how compare the differences of these two packs and try to integrate them both.

LOL, kinda hard I bet, though

this package works exactly like XPize. XPize replaces the bitmaps within the files. You can integrate the changes file by file but you cant change the resources within the files 1 by 1. more information is available Here

OK. I just installed the package. It works great. Afterwards, I still had all my icons from vipv3, except the my my computer icon. I reinstalled the vipv3 and it restored the my computer icon.

So now I got everything without having to make my own custom files :-).

Thanks.

If you're trying to achieve a "vista look" for xp then I should recommend you try out energize, or vistapack.
