StormRage
I have an Asus P5B-MX/WiFi-AP mobo running Fedora 7 (2.6.22.7-85.fc7) with the Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01)I have installed 1.) alsa-kmdl2.) alsa-lib3.) alsa-driver4.) alsa-utils5.) alsa-toolsspeaker-test -c6 -tw only plays through the left and right channels.speaker-test -Dplug:surround51 -c6 -s1 -f75 replies with -ALSA lib pcm.c:2144snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM surround51Playback open error: -2,No such file or directoryI've ran alsaconf and made sure that all the channels are unmuted and at full volume via alsamixer...I do get stereo sound with the (green) speaker output. Yet, I can not get the (mic) pienk and (blue) line-in channels to output sound. Therefore no surround sound effect...Is there a specific build I have to do to have these "input" channels change into "output" channels?...
