M()zart
Nitro Professional 6 version 2.1.1005.0 (and presumably the entire 6 line) doesn't work as it uses the Windows 3.1 installer ...You shold better say "Windows installer 3.1". At first I didn't understand it and thought that it is something about Windows 3.1.

Good on Avast!I just had a look at the avast! revision history. It appears that they broke 9x support in 4.8.1367 and then fixed it in 4.8.1368.I was using 4.8.1356 and then today updated to 4.8.1368, so I never saw any problems.Well, at least they are currently proactive with 9x compatibility. avast! 4 Home/Professional Revision HistoryVersion 4.8.1368November 27, 2009- now compatible with Windows 95/98 againVersion 4.8.1367November 25, 2009- improvements in the malware URL blockers- solved a vulnerability in aswRdr.sys (CVE-2009-4049) (special thanks to Giuseppe Bonfa)Version 4.8.1356September 25, 2009- solved a memory leak in the GZIP unpacker - solved vulnerabilities in AavmKer4.sys, aswMon2.sys and ashWsFtr.dll (special thanks to Giuseppe Bonfa, Alex and Maxim A. ivanbuto
Unfortunately, utorrent just dropped support for all Win 9x. Up to now, this tiny, fast and useful torrent program supported even Windows 98. I wonder what led the developers to drop support.Last version to work is 1.8.5 (build 17091).Current version, which no longer works, is 1.8.5 (build 17414). Current version, which no longer works, is 1.8.5 (build 17414).I had version 1.8.4 in stalled on this system.I just downloaded 1.8.5 (build 17414) and installed it. I did not un-install my existing version. No complaints or warnings during the installation. It launched right after the installation and I confirmed that I'm now running 1.8.5 build 17414 on my win-98 system. If I have kernelEx installed on this system (which I'm pretty sure I do) it would be version 3.6.
