Vista is very good at picking up new hardware, it's like we're back in the 9x days again. I installed vista to a VM, made a ghost image of it and restored that image to a physical machine and after taking some additional time on first boot it ran like it was installed on that machine directly from the cd.

I read something that the HAL in Vista is hardware-independent, unlike XP. It should be possible...
- ← Updating Existing Windows Vista Image
- Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
- Autounattend problem ? →
