I just downloaded WUDv 2.25 b895 from JCarle's website, and the windows xp list from there:
Windows XP x86 2007-11-14 3990 windows-xp-x86-enu.ulz
I installed the app, no errors, and then imported the list, no errors.
I check "Critical Updates" and Download, and that's when I get the error:
The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden
Little help? I love the idea of this program, would love to get it working for me!

Does it happen with only a specific update or all of them?

It downloads the files directly from microsoft. Are you behind a proxy or gateway?

I might be behind a transparent proxy.

You'll need to enter the proxy information in WUD other it won't be able to communicate properly with the download servers.
