custom build ignorance help Rate Topic: -----

I need to build a custom computer... I know a decent amount about computers but not specificly what components are compatible.

i am going to need my hand held.

this is what i want so far... and i would like to keep it under $2000(less would be better but i live and work on this thing )2000 $not including monitor, hard drives, keyboard mouse.....

this is as far as i got

i dont know what type of ram to get... i run photoshop mostly.... supposedly pscs3 does not need more then 4gb ram

compaible video card...I do NOT game

compatible sound card (pretty nice)

compatible power supply that can run 8 1 terabyte 3.5 hard drives..

i dont know what else i need

I would appreciate your help.... i kinda guess you all get this question alot

Average song = 5 MB

200 songs = 1 GB

200,000 songs = 1 TB

So 8 terabyte should hold aroud 1,600,000 songs :blink:

Quite a collection indeed! That's assuming they were all obtain "legaly". :rolleyes:

5MB for a song Isn’t loss-less, when we talk about Flack or so we are talking about 25MB to 50MB for each song or so, but still 8TB is ALOT off Space ;).
