Hello everyone,

i'm just wondering if it is possible to have precompiled vLite-Settings, and if it is, if someone can share them. I once managed to get a vLite-Vista, but i removed some things i should not have removed (printer-drivers ==> no way to install ghostscript) and i had to reinstall the full Vista.

Now i'd like to install a leightweight version but i don't want to do s*** again :( The Problem is that i do not have that much time. Or is there a way to test such a system?

Cheers and thanks,
--hubutz

VirtualPC <---- FREE http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...pc/default.mspx
VMWare! <---- Demo Version But I think is the best! http://www.vmware.com/products/ws/

Both of these test your build in a "Virtual", fake enviroment inside your running OS. Simply a "Must Have" if your getting into this stuff!

hubutz, also read descriptions and be very careful with the "Hardware Support" branch. If you are not sure then keep it, you can again reinstall in a few months with more removed once you see what you do not need and use the newer version.
Or take a backup image of your full install, put it aside and play with lite configs all you want, once you see what you need write it down and reinstall or simply return your full one until you are in the mood for reinstall.
