Vmware problem win98 setup problem Rate Topic: -----

when i try to install win98 from my multiboot cd to vmware the boot is succesfull but i can't see the hard disk when i try to fdisk the program works but it ends prematurely.what can be the problem. can't we install win98 to an unpartitioned harddisk without a win98 startup floppy :) .what can be the problem?please help.

There's also the dos app delpart.exe

Delete the VMWare disk file, or create a new, bootable one, and repartition the new disk. Tell us what happens.

If you previously ran Linux, then you might have multiple primary partitions, which screw up the DOS Fdisk.
