I had that problem too, but he replied saying to try an older version (2.2.1.4). I am using that one and it works great.

Being without internet access for 2 days s****! The Current version 2.3.15 is supposed to wait for the installers to finish, but apparently something is not working correctly. I'm still in the process of a complete rewrite, to come v3. Will have the following additional features when completed.

1. Add/Remove registry keys
2. add registry files
3. process kill lists (mulitple items to kill after install) time to wait.
4. Customization of all button texts.
5. Multiple pages
6. Checkbox selection groups.
7. Radio button groups
8. Cd-rom install switch
9. Position selection on page via (row, column)
10. select page to display on
11. Number of columns and number of rows
12. Installation source folder deletion
13. Select all items on a page
14. Multiple install routines since not all installers seem to run properly under the original.

If anyone has any further sugestions/requests. Speak now or wait for the next version.

Thoughts for future version (I had to leave something for v4 otherwise I'll never get v3 finished) :
1. Add/remove/rename user
2. change passwords
3. change computer name
4. set IP information to/from dhcp/static
5. integrate in the firewall enable script

Is a countdown timer possible?

I know you can use autostart but autostart won't allow you to edit any of the selections, it just starts.

Thanks. Good job.

@ljones2 - I'm still trying to find a way to do this that does not slow down or interfere with the rest of the processes running. So at this point it may be a sub version of 3. But I'm still looking into it.

Oh, and one more thing v3 will have is a configuration creator utility. You enter the data it will create the INI for you, it will also import settings from older versions so you can use your previous lists with the new version and not have to recreate from scratch.

Hey Ice....good to see things are moving along. One quick piece of input b4 i gotta run out the door; how about cleaning up the output of the progress screen. Right now lines kinda run into each other and it's a little jumbled up.

Thanks man! Got an estimated time to v 3.0 release? (Think my Dad's gonna kill me since I didn't deliver his install DVD when I told him I would...LOL....his friend hosed the PC I built for him and I didn't make an image and he's all the way in NM.) Ok, enough blabbering. :)

hmm, thought of an option you may want to put in. I would like Install to stay on top of everything and show the status the program installing. It basically does that now, but doesnt stay on top.

@totmachen - I'm not quite sure how I would do that. And right now it will have to wait to the next version. At this moment I'm beginning to think I've bitten off almost more than I can chew.

But I shall get it done. Hopefully soon.

It can be executed at almost any point. As long as the applications you are installing with it are able to be installed at that point.

additional info and screenshots are at http://icemannd.msfnhosting.com under installs.exe

Been reading all the posts here and would like to make a request...

Could you provide a list of programs and what type of install they require(switches and other things)?

keep up the good work!!!

Kim
