Using Vista Home Premium, sometimes i create a folder the add some files in it then when am ready to move or delete this folder i get this message "you do not have the previlage"

And how to get Admin along with user login on welcome screen or how to use alt-ctrl-del at the regular welcome screen to get the login prompt, so i can type in admin & password

If youre using auto admin logon you can hold down the shift key on startup to disable it.

If you only have 1 active user you wont get the logon box unless you have DisableCAD enabled.

As far as your folder, are you the owner of it? Is the folder in your profile?

only thing i can think of in #1 is do you have rights to the files you are trying to move? (not in use, owned by another user, etc)

as for #2 i recommend not using the Built-in Administrator account in Vista (or any OS for that matter) but its definatly not worth the extra trouble in Vista. Just create another user and add him to the administrators group.

Merging all of these topics because it was posted 7 times in the Vista forum - not sure why, but the two responses are merged into the last post.
