I use microsoft office 2000. I re-installed the programme including disc 3 containing photodraw. During installation I get the message "unable to configure microsoft web server". The software gets installed but does not work. A message " cannot start this application" is displayed.
Please help

Thanks

Moved to correct forum. The Site & Forum Issues section is meant for problems you're having with the site itself. Software related problems should go in the Software Hangout.

Moved to Software Hangout

do you get that error when you try to open any office 2000 program, or just a particular one? Have you removed any windows components using a program like nLite? Is this a clean install of windows or is there other software installed which may conflict?

Thanks.
I only get this error when opening the 'photodraw'. Rest works fine. I haven't removed any windows component but on checking 'add/remove programmes' in control box note that nLite is not listed.

Can you open the target exe with Dependency Walker; the problem sounds like a missing run-time dependency.
http://www.dependencywalker.com/

You should then see the missing modules and can copy/paste the filenames here or save and attach a DWI file. :)
