Yeah but the MD5 matches the 3311 and the update.inf says 3311 so MS just updated the article.

There's a leaked 5503 build, not even tagged has RC, maybe RTM? Perhaps was compiled on March 07 I think (there's a lot of files modified on that date).

Yeah, many WareZ sites are also saying its Final ( RTM ) - since all files are not tagged as RC.
MSFN portal sayid Vista SP1 will hit Windows Update this week, and also that XP SP3 is ready to RTM.

MySelf can´t wait for the final version

According to the file description notes, Microsoft will release the final version of XP SP3 on March 24, but the 5503 test build passes all Windows Genuine Advantage checks and is able to download Windows updates that previous XP SP3 builds weren't able to, which suggests that it could, in fact, be the final RTM build.

As some of you may have noticed, there was some confusion/concern regarding the validity of the unusual Build 5503 of XP SP3 that made the news a few days ago. Fortunately, Mary Jo Foley received the following update from Microsoft last night:

The XP SP3 5503 build was a minor interim build released to address one specific issue for a subset of private beta testers. This build was not intended for public release and anyone who has that build and is not part of the private beta is working with bits that Microsoft cant verify the integrity¦. The final version of XP SP3 is still on target to be released the first half of calendar year 2008.

Also worth noting is that the build contains an EULA for “Pre-Release” software so it most definitely will not be the final SP3 build
