When I go to the device manager, I click on the disk properties and I cannot select to enable or disable disk write caching.
It is greyed out for me. Is there another means to check if it is enabled?
BTW. I did use XPlite on my system. I'm not sure if it is relevant.

I think its MINLOGON causing it. Anybody have a similar experience?

I can't use write caching on one of my computers having VT6410 controller and running Lite WinXP SP1 (big winlogon / administrator). I always thought its because of the RAID controller, but I'm not sure now.

Little more info. Its the nForce drivers.
It 'takes over' the write caching. Its only letting me enable it using the IDE controller settings.
Bootvis is still giving me trouble about it.
