Hi all
running vista 64 SP1 RTM and cannot print from IE or print preview unless I turn user account control off in control panel.
also cannot print even if starting IE as admin unless I turn UAC off
note that on older machine running vista 32 SP1 beta 2 (have not gotten around to put RTM on this box) UAC is ON - and no problems at all.\
any ideas?

Have you tried running the 64bit version of IE (the default icon points to the 32bit version) to see if it happens there?

Try running process monitor from sysinternals to see what you're getting the access denied messages to when UAC is enabled.
