After some accident trouble, I'm putting together a low-power security system (with cameras) for my vehicle.

I need a very efficient power supply for the main system. Where should I look?
I checked the mp3car forums, but I am looking for something with less power. 100Watts absolute maximum.
Highest efficiency possible (within reasonable price) for consumers.

PicoPSU is exactly what you're looking for. They've usually got efficiencies of 85% or higher. :)

Higher efficiency is better! This would be running 24/7 off my battery.

So, what are you going to hook to it?

Couple of microphones. External.
A daylight dash camera, high res if possible.

This would be a passive security system.

Brainstorming Specs:
-------------------------
I'm thinking of hooking up a nice CF drive (or hard disk with protection).
A small VIA CPU, or the new Intel Atom if it comes out soon. Integrated graphics.

Why don't you just get a dog? Seriously now, in this high-tech world, sometimes we need to get back to the basics ;) Just my 2 cents.

I'd like a dog as a pet. Not as a car security system.
