Hey Guys,
I have a HP NX9110 Notebook Windows XP Professional and I just wiped my hard drive using Active Kill Disk. When I put in the "re-installation/recovery CD" I get an error saying "problem loading operating system" and it won't let me do anything.
What do I have to do?
Will I need to reformat the hard drive? Or do I need to get a proper windows installation CD?
I know there are a couple of guides to make:
How to Create a Bootable Windows XP Setup Disk on a Preinstalled / Preloaded Windows System
http://www.howtohaven.com/system/createwin...setupdisk.shtml
But I've wiped the files I need.
Any help will be great!

Active kill disk most likely "Destroyed" your hidden recovery partition, which is all alot of those recovery cd's do is call the installation from that parttion.
You'll need to aquire legit full media. I would call\Email HP customer service and ask them for a proper replacement media chances are they will sell you one for cheap...
If not their is always ebay or amazon.com
P.S. Active Kill Disk is like squashing an ant with a 16 pound sledge hammer
It really is overkill. Unless you were trying to destroy sensitive government secrets you don't really need to use it.
P.S. Welcome to MSFN!

Are you sure you are actually BOOTING from the CD. Excuse me for this blunt question but from some info in your post (like "Will I need to reformat the hard drive?"), it is not very clear how much experience you have with computers.
