what is new in SP3?

I read only few intranet features and some deploying features are in SP3

should a home/soho user bother to upgrade?

thanks

Yeah not much new in it but with all the fixes and optimizations in does run quite a bit faster.

I am more excited about being able to integrate SP3 into my install source, since that will save time from having to download all of the post SP2 updates (even if you are using update packs). I'm not sure what advantage installing SP3 on an already up-to-date system will really have though.

Not yet, but it can't be too far either.

I heard its going to be released next Monday, is this true?

I've been waiting for this SP for some time now, Microsoft is so slow.

Always upgrade first, ask questions later. If you care about security, extra protection from malware/viruses, just apply the patch then come ask "so what did I really gain". If you have to wonder if you should apply an update, then you're on the waiting list for problems.
