I am using Windows Server 2003 as a a workstation. Everything works fine I think, but I don't like that if I share a folder on my network, other computers have to "logon" to see the folder. In Windows XP, when I share a folder, as long as I don't set a password, people can just click on it or type something like \\computer\folder\ and it opens. I'd like to be able to do the same thing with folders in Windows Server 2003. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Folder options > view tab > check box for simple file sharing. I don't know if this exists on 2003.

Is there a way to enable that option through services or something? I know that sharing folders and files is the same way with Windows 2000 Professional (you have to log on to the computer to see the folder). Maybe there's a way to do it in Windows 2000 that'll also work in Windows Server 2003.
