Office XP executed mouse command randomly Rate Topic: -----

I am running windows and office XP. After I open any file in office the mouse act like it is going to the menue bar and executeds random commands. I do not even move the mouse. It does it by itself. I installed SP-1 and reinstalled Office xp without luck. I also tried the fix and repare feature. Any one can help! I cann't complete any document. Thanks

Try using another mouse.

do you have any macros running? Maybe it isn't macros, since I don't remember macros showing mouse movements (at least not in office 97, but they probably have improved then by showing mouse movements)

Or probably some annoying virus that affects office xp products making your mouse move about randomly.

Are you using any speech recognition software?

Make sure your friends or family didn't put a computer joke on your PC. go to control panel, add remove programs and unistall anything you think is strange or you know you never installed. AND
Do a virus scan.

As Boogs said do a virus scan first.

Well, No virus was found. New mouse did not do anything different. I did not install any new programs there either. It is really bugging me to the point that I can not type a single complete sentense. HELP

You said you had Windows XP? Did you do a clean install or did you upgrade from another Operating System?

IT is a brand new computer and everything is done from scratch.

I am still having trouble and it is getting worse
