There are two choices:

a ) use the original installer's silent switches and create a sfx archive (using WinRAR or 7-Zip) that will execute the command (setup program + switches). There is a tutorial for the 7-Zip version on this forum;

b ) create an AutoIT script that will press all the buttons and select any options you want. This is the way to go if you do custom install (don't install all the program components, disable some file associations, disable start-up items) and the setup switches don't allow this.

Greetings from the cows in the alps :hello:

If you're really lazy like us... there's a freeware version of installrite available.

It's a nifty little program that will help you out if you don't have the time to learn all the switches and stuff to do it manually.

The downside of that program is that it does bloat your installation program quite a bit sometimes.

thx bro for your info about installrite.

i hope this will solve my problem....

About InstallRite 2.5: try to use it in a clean Windows installation (without addons, drivers or other stuff installed). For example just SP2 and Windows Installer 3.1 (KB893803). And choose to "allow relocation"

before building the installer (usefull if you will install later to a partition with other letter assigned, but

%systemdrive% too).

@bro radix, i tried in virtual PC & success my OS in partition C

nothing happen when i tried to host PC, OS in partition D [dual boot vista in C].

maybe i have to try to choose 'allow relocation' like you said.

thx bro for that info.... ;)
