aliirfan
I have created Unattended Cd for xp. But now i want to run my cd only on a specific computer. when the cd asks, when i am booting my computer from the cd, "Press any key to Boot from cd" and if i press any key i want a screen asking for a password and if i type a correct password it should check either serial of the hard drive or the model of the Mother board if it matches to the settings which i already mentioned then it should start the unattended installation process. if not then i want a message to appear "Sorry this cd is not made for this computer"
rikgale
Read this post here, and that should do similar to what you are after. It does it's check for the ID of the computer later on into the install that you are after, but that is becuase it uses lots of tools that only work under windows.I believe that this is the closest you are going to get and as far as I am aware the thread is no longer maintained by the OP as he achieved what he set out to do.Hope that this helpsBest RegardsRik
devil270975
install from a bartpe disk, you can set it to ask for a password upon boot, once entered it will continue and just add your winnt32.exe parameters to autorun.cmd.
