Trying to Burn Music CD

Have you tried using a 3rd party vendor like Nero or Roxio? If not try those, if you don't have those apps already installed I think you can download a free trial to see if that fixes your problem.

You can burn Audio CD's for free with InfraRecorder or ImgBurn.

http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/

http://www.imgburn.com/

When you say no music what do you mean? Have you put the disc back in the pc and checked to see if there are files on it? You said you ripped a cd to your pc, and then burned it, but HOW did you burn it? To play in a regular audio cd player you need to specifically burn a audio cd.

Hi geek :)

This specific functionality was added with ImgBurn v2.4.0.0 :

Added: Support for multi-session/track CD reading/burning (*using a CUE file - this includes Audio CD's from anything DirectShow/ACM can handle - AAC/APE/FLAC/MP3/MPC/OGG/PCM/WAV/WMA etc).

Allthough it relies on CUE Sheets for this specific functionality, then it also features a 'Create CD CUE File' function, where individual tracks can be selected and the generated CUE Sheet added to the write queue...

If you allready knew this(and i misunderstood you), then sorry about that :)

sweet. i totally missed that option. I intentionally let our licensing for nero expire because it was costing an arm and a leg. Now I preload IMGburn on staff machines and I've heard way too much whining because people cant burn audio. (none of them have a legit reason to be burning audio anyways but that doesnt stop them from opening tickets for it  )

  • 2 months later...

I know Im a little late but im going to throw in another option

check out burrrn

Quote from softpedia

Burrrn description

Burrrn is a little tool for burrrning audio CDs with CD-Text from various audio files.

Supported formats are: wav, mp3, mpc, ogg, aac, mp4, ape, flac, ofr, wv, tta, m3u, pls and fpl playlists and cue sheets.

You can also burrrn EAC's noncompliant image + cue sheets! Burrrn is able to read all types of tags from all these formats (including ape tags in mp3).

Burrrn uses cdrdao.exe for burrrning.

You

need the corresponding decoding executables and cdrdao.exe to be in the same directory as Burrrn. All necessary files are included so please don't remove them, otherwise Burrrn won't work as expected.

To burrrn a CD, just drop the audio files, playlists or cue sheets on the list, select the writing speed and press Burrrn. A window will pop up, where you can see the burrrning progress.

If you want, you can change the decoding options or, for example, use mad for decoding mp3s, but please don't forget to change it in the settings. You also have to always include '%s' as the source file and '%d' as the destination file.

but you can still get it from

for all around audio software & help I recommend checking out http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/
