i cant think of another term to use, but basically if i want to export my nlite settings. after hours of trial and error i finally got it to where i would like it... i'd like to save what i have for later use so is all i need is the "last session" file? or do i need something else? there are two files that i see last session, and last session_u, do i need both? both have the same time and date created.

Yes you need both. Also if you want the same result, you need to start with exactly the same source of course.
You can rename both files but to keep them linked (nLite only prompts for one name) you need to have the same name + "_u" at the end.
like
"last session.ini" and "last session_u.ini" renamed to
"last session for my portable.ini" and "last session for my portable_u.ini"
not "last session for my portable.ini" and "last session_u for my portable.ini"
Both files are in also on the cd (unless you changed it, that option is enabled by default).
