Hey,
I just did a Test with #d Mark and i got around 938 i think .. that was pretty low since i compared it with the ones on the 3d mark site it takes you after you did your test...
I have pretty up to date hardware.. is this normal, can i do something to fix it?
My hardware config is :
Pentium 4 1800mhz
512 ddr ram
80 gig hd
dvd/cdrw drive
Nvidia 32mb Riva TNT2 M64 Pro
Running windows XP pro and i got all the drivers installed...

It's because of the video card. TNT2's are a good all around video card but not for serious gamers. Hence the low score.

The Gfx card is the main hardware for 3DMark2001 to bench, so you probably need a new one to increase your score by thousand-folds.
My score: 3200
AMD Athlon 1.3Ghz DDR
512Mb DDR RAM 266MHz
ATI Radeon 64Mb DDR VIVO
Windows XP, DirecX 8.1, Radeon Beta 3211 drivers.
I've seen higher scores though with similar systems, dunno why. The driver above is the only one which manages to get me a record-breaking 3200 marks.

ohhh
i thought it would test the overall system performance..
hehe if it only tests the gfx card.. then the 930 average is usual i guess
Thanks
