Would like to use nLite to Significantly Reduce Windows but I do not want to burn a CD because have not finalized my install so would like to run the reduced Windows install files from a hard drive.

Did a search but to date have not found any tutorials or guides

Thanks

G

You can create the bootable ISO, and use a Virtual Machine to start it with.

Try something like VMWarePlayer:http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
You will also need: EasyVMX:http://www.easyvmx.com/
Or Microsoft Virtual PC:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/virtualpc/default.mspx

That's what I always do to try out my nLite installs, if it's stable and works, I then install it on my main system

I always install from the HDD because it's faster than installing from CD and because I've never messed around with any 'virtual' environments so I don't know how they work.

I posted about installing from HDD in this thread:
