I've looked and looked on the forums and on the web in general, but I've only found two ways to disable the "start navigation" click sound :realmad: is to manually go to the control panel and either select no sound theme or to specify "None" for the event sound.

This seems pretty counter-productive to everything this site stands for . Does anyone know how to disable it during unattended setup? Anyone? Bueller?

Thanks

Well I successfully killed the sound by adding the following line to cleanup.cmd:
    DEL "%systemroot%\media\Windows XP Start.wav"

Something seems to be overwriting it if it's set beforehand. Right now I can only come up with running this after first logon:

REG DELETE HKCU\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\Explorer\Navigating\.Current /va /f
