Hi,


Can i remove components after slipstreaming SP1 ??


I did it and got error after completing the installation.
the error was - ntoskrnl.exe missing


Help me friends

Hmm.Does the error occur when you enter DVD and it says Loading Files?

Weird.

I didn't see this thread and posted one right after you did.


I have the same exact error and I don't know why. I decided to not remove any components.. Just added a hotfix, SP1 and did a simple unattended setup. I'm not sure what's going on.

I tried simply adding SP1 and it got further along in the install than when I add a hotfix/use the unattended setup.

The error occurs right after it says 'windows is loading/copying file' in the command prompt-looking window. The bar goes full, and then the screen comes on and says that ntoskernal is missing. Won't go any further than that, and I think it's probably the same for him.

Yep.You have the same issue as the other poster.Error is same and the place it occurs is same.Can you both attach Last Session.ini from the image root?

No, error uccurs after installation on first reboot.

I also have a problem with a slipstreamed SP1

First I sleapstreamed, then i created a iso and with vlite i removed components from the new iso.

After the install it shows the message 'Step 3 of 3 100% complete; Do not turn off the computer'

Its been like that for over 3 hours now.

I got vista ultimate x64 (sp1) dutch

Nope i didnt add hotfixes.

I did remove the standard drivers and included my own
(RAID, VGA, LAN, AUDIO)
