right, You won't be able to install update and hotfix because it remove the update support.

the backup files of the comps that u didnt remove with vlite ] are removed

I mean will it still check and notify you what updates are needed?

Removing winsxs doesn't break Windows Update. You'll be always notified that new updates are available but some of them (most of them) won't install. You'll get an error

Yea I made a new image and left in winsxs and Wu seems to work and install updates fine. However now my installed image is twice as large!
I guess thats about as good as we can get for now....

I guess this feature is broken since I removed too many comps?? LOL

Like you said, you had to remove more component needed, post your last session ini file.

Yes, the integrated worked and after using Windows Update it successfully downloaded and installed 2-3 updates automatically!!
