Hi, im new in building servers so ill ask you guys (with server experience) if my specs are ok:
Btw, this is a windows server 2003 database server for invoicing (will use msaccess) however only 4 workstations will access the server.
Intel P-4 2.6Ghz C 800Mhz CPU
Intel 865GBF Motherboard
80 Gigabytes Seagate SATA
1GB TwinMOS DDR400 Ram (is this overkill?)
is this ok? i dont have any idea if this is ok already... i read somewhere that i might need QuadCPU for database server, however i took into consideration that only 4 pcs will use it...

that's more than enough for what you are doing. All you are using it for is a file server basically. It's almost overkill. I have a company set up with a Pentium Pro 200, 256MB ram, 2 18GB SCSI (RAID 1). It serves as a file server, Norton server for 10 PCs, Printer server for all PCs that print to 3 printers, backup, and a couple other things. They never even peg it out.
