When I use nlite to make a custom XP install, I change the profiles directory from "\Documents and Settings" to "D:\" (a separate partition to reduce fragmentation). I can't find any option in vlite to to the same with \Users. I've googled about moving user profiles on an existing vista installation, but they're complicated and require many changes to the registry. It seems like it would be a lot easier to change the user profiles before the install, but I don't know how to do this.

I've found this: http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsVista...3.mspx?mfr=true But I'm not sure how to use this information in tandem with vlite.
