Sources missing in Boot-Menu

Recommended Posts

I want to be able to install from 6 different XP-Sources plus Vista. Copying of XP-Sources was successful, but when I boot from USB-HDD the menu only shows 3 Sources although there are 6 in the boot.ini.

I used Multiboot 10 and formatted a single Partition in NTFS using the HP-Tool.

Boot.ini:

[Boot Loader]
Timeout=10
Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[Operating Systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="2. and 3. Continue with GUI Mode Setup Windows XP + Start XP from HD 1" /FASTDETECT
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Continue GUI Setup + Start XP from HD 2, use if installing on HD2" /FASTDETECT
c:\grldr="4. Start GRUB4DOS Menu - DOS FPY IMAGES + Linux + XP Rec Cons + Vista"
C:\btsec\PELDR.bs="5. BartPE - MINI XP"
C:\btsec\XPS01.bs="01 TXT Mode Setup XPHomeOEM, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XAT01.bs="01 Attended Setup XPHomeOEM, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XPS02.bs="02 TXT Mode Setup XPHomeRetail, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XAT02.bs="02 Attended Setup XPHomeRetail, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XPS03.bs="03 TXT Mode Setup XPProOEM, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XAT03.bs="03 Attended Setup XPProOEM, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XPS04.bs="04 TXT Mode Setup XPProRetail, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XAT04.bs="04 Attended Setup XPProRetail, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XPS05.bs="05 TXT Mode Setup XPCorp, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XAT05.bs="05 Attended Setup XPCorp, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XPS06.bs="06 TXT Mode Setup XPMCE, Never unplug USB-Drive"
C:\btsec\XAT06.bs="06 Attended Setup XPMCE, Never unplug USB-Drive"

The max number of entries in boot.ini Menu = 10

When you remove for each source the Second (Attended) entry in your boot.ini file on USB HDD,

then you just can manage the 6 sources in your boot.ini Menu. ;)
